Why Hamburg?
The city of bridges.
Hamburg has over 2,500 bridges, the most of any city in the world. That's more than Amsterdam, Venice, and London combined. Besides the Hanseatic city's mercantile and maritime history, the many rivers, canals and bridges lend to Hamburg's claim as the "Venice of the North".
Bridges you need to visit when in Hamburg: Köhlbrandbrücke, Überseebrücke, Brooksbrücke, Poggenmühlenbrücke, and Feenteichbrücke.
